Climate Protection in the City of St. Louis

The City of St. Louis will be earning additional badges towards its pledge to uphold the Compact of Mayors. For a comprehensive look at the City’s climate protection goals and objectives, check out the Climate Action & Adaptation Plan recommendations. A Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory for 2015 was recently finalized. Existing buildings still constitute the largest source of GHG emissions in the St. Louis Community - approximately 77%. As such, the City will continue to focus many climate actions on buildings, such as the Set The PACE St. Louis financing for energy improvements at residential and commercial buildings, and the Energy Benchmarking Ordinance for buildings 50,000 square feet or more.
