Plan Implementation & Goals
Introduction
OneSTL is a plan for creating a prosperous, healthy, and vibrant St. Louis region. The Plan includes a vision, goals and objectives that outline what the people of St. Louis want for the future of the region as well as strategies, tools and resources for achieving the OneSTL vision. OneSTL Network Members will implement the plan.
Who Will Implement the Plan?
OneSTL Network Members will implement the plan with the guidance of an implementation committee. All local governments, businesses, organizations and residents of the St. Louis region are invited to join the Network. Network Members will achieve the goals of the plan through collaboration, ongoing communication and use of the strategies and tools.
How Will OneSTL Be Implemented?
OneSTL tools and resources were created through the planning process to assist Network Members in implementing the OneSTL goals and objectives. These tools and resources will continually be updated and revised based on additional input and needs. Updates can be found at OneSTL.org.
What Does a Sustainable St. Louis Region Look Like?
Themes, goals, objectives and strategies provide an outline for what the people of St. Louis want for the future of the region and how we will achieve it. The vision for the future of the St. Louis region is expressed in nine themes, which collectively define sustainability for our region.
Themes, Goals, Objectives & Strategies
The vision for the future of the St. Louis region is expressed in nine Themes. These Themes collectively support the vision for the region's sustainable future. They incorporate the results of 18 months of public engagement, on-line surveys, technical reports from partners, general input from committee members and partners, and workshops with municipal officials.
Measuring Progress
For each of the nine theme areas, a set of measures was chosen that indicate if the region is making progress in meeting the goals and objectives of the plan. Analysis of the indicators will better equip the region to make data driven decisions, set priorities, evaluate the effectiveness of the plan, and revise the plan to achieve success. The implementation committee will create and work with a performance measurement working group and East-West staff to set specific target goals for at least some of the performance indicators. The targets will be designed as specific, measurable, relevant, and attainable time-bound goals.
When Will It Be Implemented?
Implementation of OneSTL has already begun. OneSTL Network Members are already engaged in some of the strategies listed and invite organizations and residents to join the OneSTL Network today. Implementation will be ongoing with continual communication, an annual Report to the Region and an annual OneSTL Network Gathering.
